Delivers range of automation solutions in new subscription business model
Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, 26th February 2018 – MYCOM OSI the leading independent provider of Assurance, Automation and Analytics solutions to the world’s largest Communications Service Providers (CSPs), today announced that it has extended its Experience Assurance and Analytics™ (EAA) Solutions Catalogue with new automation solutions that address a range of CSP needs from traditional network operations through to artificial intelligence/machine learning-driven (AI/ML) telco clouds.
Although some forms of Assurance Automation have been available for many years, their adoption has accelerated in recent years due to growth in network virtualization (NFV), use of cloud technologies and increased requirements for highly dynamic and orchestrated network infrastructures and operations. Coupled with analytics, ML and AI, new types of automation methodologies promise massive increases in operational and service agility at reduced costs.
MYCOM OSI’s Assurance Automation Solutions are designed to address the diverse needs of CSPs who are at different stages of readiness for automation. They comply with key principles of the recently announced TM Forum Open Digital Architecture including intent-based management, and are in leading CSPs including Globe Telecom, one of the world’s first telco clouds at Three UK and one of the top five largest CSPs globally, which intends to automate over 90% of their network quality management processes with MYCOM OSI’s solutions.
MYCOM OSI provides a spectrum of Assurance Automation Solutions, including correlation of disparate assurance data based on flexible definable rules and policies, open loop automation with guided diagnostics and recommended actions, and closed loop automation with direct or indirect write-back via orchestrators, SON systems or equivalent intermediate architectures. The spectrum steps through proactive, predictive and prescriptive levels of automation, directed towards maximizing restoration, prevention and service quality.
At the advanced end of the automation spectrum, MYCOM OSI is introducing a new set of closed loop automated workflows (MYCOM OSI EAA AutoFlows™), that directs NFV MANO orchestrators to deliver augmented auto-restoration capabilities and intent-based service quality optimization. The closed loop AutoFlows™ are capable of detecting specific emergent, current, and future degradation symptoms and out-of-bounds conditions, determine probable root causes and trigger remedial actions. The efficacy of such actions is ensured via control measurements, fallback procedures and conflict resolution actions.
MYCOM OSI’s automation solutions are part of its extensive Solutions Catalogue that covers Assurance, Automation and Analytics, and is optionally available within MYCOM OSI’s new subscription business model. This enables MYCOM OSI’s software to be accessible as a service on a private or public cloud within an annual subscription that includes all software functionality, upgrades, support and maintenance for selected products with unlimited users and unlimited access to MYCOM OSI’s Assurance Solution Catalogue and Virtual Network Function / Physical Network Function (VNF/PNF) interface Adaptor Catalogue.
MYCOM OSI’s latest Solutions Catalogue includes:
- Multi-Domain Network Monitors for “big screen” NOC environments
- Network Technology Analyzer for Guided Diagnostics
- Service Quality Impact Analyzers for Network Services and Customer Services
- Auto-Restoration based Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Modules for augmented actuation
“The introduction of programmable telco network functions enables the next level of assurance-driven closed loop automation that the industry has been aiming at for years” says Dirk Michel, Vice President of Solutions, MYCOM OSI. “The ability to define and inject what essentially amounts to auto-pilot modes into the network will define the new limits of what assurance can achieve.”
MYCOM OSI is exhibiting at Mobile World Congress 2018, which takes place from 26th February to 1st March in Barcelona, Spain. To pre-arrange a meeting with MYCOM OSI, please contact the marketing team at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here. MYCOM OSI will be located in Hall 1, Stand 1A42.
