Getting ready for IoT monitoring

Getting ready for IoT monitoringIoT devices, networks and services need extensive monitoring. Hundreds of thousands of devices are being added daily to the IoT ecosystem, connected to each other and the cloud through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular and fixed networks. New communication networks based on EC-GSM, LoRa, LTE-M, NB-IoT and SigFox are being considered by IoT service providers to deliver their services. While the IoT service providers could potentially operate separately from Communication Service Providers (CSP), IoT networks are currently being overlaid on existing communication networks and therefore require the CSP’s support in managing the inter-device communication and in maintaining its quality.

How to unjumble OSS

Posted by Sandeep Raina on Sep 16, 2015 10:04:00 AM

Banner_blog_5Consolidation is not a buzz word. It is a biz word. This is because network consolidation in a telecom operator network cuts down costs (operational costs and infrastructure costs). Consolidation of OSS systems also reduces the operator costs tremendously. If you add automation to it, the results are remarkable. Not only does efficiency increase, but also the quality and speed. This is because you remove elements of human error, inefficient repetition, and decrease time for delivery of new services.

5 principles for continued simplification and agility of telecom operations

Posted by Mounir Ladki, President and CTO, MYCOM OSI on May 27, 2015 9:39:00 AM

Complexity of telecom operators' business models, offers, networks and systems has never been higher. The result of this increased complexity is higher costs and reduced operational margins, lengthy time to market and degraded customer experience. The reasons for the surge of complexity is partly rooted in the nature of the mobile industry and partly related to current business trends.
